Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You'll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It's a quick-prepare soup that's just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Keith C. from IL about Nongshim and here's what he had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Keith C.:  I noted hot peppers and possibly sriracha in the broth which is very spicy. I feel that the broth can be more flavorful. It seems rather one dimensional. The noodles had a wonderful texture, quite "al dente" but not toothy which is a turn off for me. The noodles and the broth together makes this ramen dish satisfying and warms the soul as well as my stomach.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Keith C.:  I feel that with the addition of chopped green onions in the broth or sprinkled on the noodles would enhance the flavor of the dish and give it an interesting balance. I would not add any additional spices. The dish has enough heat to the point that any additional spices would ruin it.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Keith C.:  The broth was wonderful. I didn't have to add sriracha or any other spicy liquids to it. The noodles came out perfectly
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Keith C.:  It was easy to prepare..It took three minutes in the microwave and this would be perfect for someone like me with time constraints to bring this to work for lunch.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Keith C.:  The heat is fairly intense but not overpowering. It complements the noodles but doesn't overshadow them.
