Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You'll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It's a quick-prepare soup that's just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.
We talked to Alpheaus M. from FL about Nongshim and here's what he had to say:
Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Alpheaus M.: Once fully cooked, the noodles are nice, soft and flat. The spice and the heat hits you as soon as you take your first mouthful. I can taste onion, garlic, cayenne and chili peppers. I did not need to add any salt.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Alpheaus M.: First, I would suggest some type of meat in the original Shin cup. I would also use it as a bed for a sweet and spicy chicken breast. I would also use it as the foundation of a very spicy cold pasta salad.
“Everything that you are looking for in a cup of noodles is in the Shin cup. ”
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Alpheaus M.: Everything that you are looking for in a cup of noodles is in the Shin cup. The spice, the saltiness and excellent noodles are all present in the shin cup.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Alpheaus M.: I followed the instructions on the cup to prepare the cup. I microwaved the cup for three and a half minutes but I left the lid on the cup halfway. Once it was done cooking, I started to pull the noodles and stretch them. Then I covered the noodles back up and allowed them to sit for a couple minutes in order to fully cook.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Alpheaus M.: I would tell them if they love spice and heat this would be the product to try and it's a very economical lunch or snack.
