Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You'll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It's a quick-prepare soup that's just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Jim S from IL about Nongshim and here's what he had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Jim S:  Overall, this is a good product. The broth had a mixture of flavors including beef, maybe some tangerine peppers, and definitely some other seasonings, but I can't break those down. A good blend. The noodles were good- firm, without being hard, and not spongy. The noodles' flavor blended well with the broth, but were really overwhelmed by the spices. The flavor and after taste of the broth dominated. Very good in my book!
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Jim S:  I'm not a cook, but this might mix well with some grilled chicken.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Jim S:  I really liked the flavor. I'm not a big Ramen noodle person - think they are usually too slimy for me, but these noodles went very well with the broth. The heat of the spices was just right - spicy with flavor! Not pure heat.

Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Jim S:  It was very easy for me to make- just follow the directions and microwave it. The cool-down time was longer, but necessary. The aroma of the cup made the wait easy.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Jim S:  On a 1-10 scale, with 10 being Solar, this is a good 6-7, maybe more for those not leaning towards spicy stuff. But it was hot WITH flavor- a great blend.
