Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You'll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It's a quick-prepare soup that's just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.
We talked to Richard S from GA about Nongshim and here's what he had to say:
Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Richard S: The broth tastes like a very good vegetable flavor with a little beef flavor to make it interesting. The noodles have a light, creamy texture to them that adds a nice filling sensation. All of the flavors blend well together with a hint of spice and salty mixed all together.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Richard S: I would add a small amount of curry to enhance the spicy flavor. I would use it as a side with a grilled chicken breast.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Richard S: The salt does not overwhelm the other flavors like other ramen noodles. It has a more consistent spiciness and vegetable-beef combo mix well together.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Richard S: It can be heated in its own cup, and there is room to add other items if you like. You can heat it up for a quick meal or side anywhere you have a microwave.
“It's spicy, but not overwhelming and you can use more or less of the spice packet as you desire.”
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Richard S: It's spicy, but not overwhelming and you can use more or less of the spice packet as you desire. It has a great flavor as us that goes with other foods or just by itself.
