Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You'll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It's a quick-prepare soup that's just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Jacob H. from AR about Nongshim and here's what he had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Jacob H.:  The noodles are a great texture, not hard or not mushy like other cup noodles. Not a lot of flavor in the broth, but the vegetables are a good addition. I love spicy foods, but the noodles were very spicy. I thought the spiciness was awesome.
“If you like spice, the flavor and the heat is perfect.”

Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Jacob H.:  I would keep the main part of the dish the same. In the noodles I would add cooked chicken, either fried eggs or boiled eggs too. Adding stir-fry veggies too would be a great addition to the noodles.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Jacob H.:  I really liked the spice was of the noodles compared to other spicy noodles I've had. The noodles were also a good consistency as well. The noodles weren't mushy like other ones I've had.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Jacob H.:  It was really easy preparing the noodles. I opened the package and added the spices and filled the water to the line. Then I microwaved it for 3 minutes.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Jacob H.:  I would say the product was very spicy. If you don't like spice it'll probably be too spicy for you. But if you like spice, the flavor and the heat is perfect.
