We talked to Patrick N from PA about Nongshim and here's what he had to say:
Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Patrick N: The broth has a beef flavor to it with a delayed extreme kick of spicy to it. The noodles are a soft and easy to chew. From soaking in the broth, the noodles provide a nice spicy kick.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Patrick N: I would add some cooked shredded beef to the Shin Cup to make it a filling meal for myself. I think I would buy a couple of the Shin Cups and add all of the contents into a crockpot with vegetables such as celery, corn, potatoes, and carrots to make a spicy vegetable noodle soup.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Patrick N: I think the Shin Cup Is definitely more flavorful than other ramen products I had before. I enjoy the spiciness of the broth.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Patrick N: I ripped the top off and added the spice packet and water to the Shin Cup. I cooked the Shin Cup for three minutes in the microwave. The Shin Cup is ideal for a lunch break because of how fast you can cook it and get back to work.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Patrick N: If you like spicy foods I would recommend it. The Shin Cup is extremely spicy that sticks with you for a while after eating.
