Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You'll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It's a quick-prepare soup that's just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Jeff O. from IL about Nongshim and here's what he had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Jeff O.:  This shin noodle soup was a wonderful quick meal with soft noodles with a spicy kick. The included vegetable mix adds a lot to the overall flavor and is not simply an after thought like some other similarly marketed products. Next time I'm going to add some Kimchi or maybe a boiled egg to the Shin Soup for an even greater experience!
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Jeff O.:  I would add perhaps a boiled egg and some fresh cut peppers. Adding some Kimchi would be amazing I would imagine!
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Jeff O.:  The vegetable mix included with the package was much better than other similar brands/products. It also has a much spicier kick to it. I like spicy foods, but I imagine it might be too much for some people.
“I would say that if you enjoy spicy foods this product is definitely for you with a lot of spicy kick to it.”

Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Jeff O.:  I prepared it in the microwave after simply adding water and the included spice mix. It only took 3 minutes to heat up but I had to let stand for about 4 to cool down before consuming. I think the product is great on the go with only needing access to water and a microwave and or stove top and pan.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Jeff O.:  I would say that if you enjoy spicy foods this product is definitely for you with a lot of spicy kick to it. However, if you are someone like my mother that thinks pepperoni pizza is spicy - well then this is not the soup for you.
