In Partnership with Community Coffee

We talked to Syed from MD and here’s what he had to say:

Q
Why did you start drinking coffee?

A
I started drinking it because of the novelty of something that was reserved for adults. Later on, in college, it was simply an enjoyable means to stay awake. A 2013 work trip to Seattle solidified my commitment to quality coffee, after which point I sought beans from different places that I usually then grind on my own.
Q
What do you think of Community Coffee’s goal to improve student’s educational experience across the US, through the Cash for Schools program?

A
I had no knowledge of this, and it mak3es me glad that there is a company with such commitments to furthering education. I am now doubly glad to have discovered this brand. As someone privileged enough to have had no obstacles on my path to becoming a medical student, I now come across many individuals for whom higher education was simply a pipe dream – buying products that advanced education in America is a no-brainer.
Q
How does Community Coffee boost your everyday cup?

A
I found the grounds too course for my use. I ground them further per my own preference and was surprised by the robustness of a blend that smelled like a dark roast to me but had a very full, pleasantly aromatic flavor that made the whole house smell of breakfast.
Q
Community Coffee places high value on giving back to the men + women serving in the US Military. What are your thoughts on their Military Match program?

A
Community Coffee needs to advertise this fact a little more, because I do not see this mentioned anywhere on their coffee package. This is an excellent way to further this company’s commitment to people beyond its own shareholders.

A robust flavor with fresh, wake-up tones of tropical fruits and chocolate, rivaling the best in the coffee business.
