Cup o' Noodles Meets the 21st-Century

In Partnership with Ore-Ida

We talked to Nick from CA and here’s what he had to say:

Q
Tell us about the flavor of Just Crack an Egg.

A
Well, I love the concept. The problem with breakfast bowls from other companies is that the eggs have been cooked up to six months ago. Doing it like this is essentially like I went and bought the separate ingredients at the grocery store this morning, cooked an egg, and mix them in. The one thing that I find that is the biggest turn off most of the breakfast bowls is the low-quality bacon and that it tastes rancid in some cases while this one tastes fresh.
Q
Just Crack an Egg lets you have a savory breakfast scramble every morning [even the ones when you hit snooze a few too many times]. What did you think of the convenience of Just Crack an Egg?

A
To me the convenience isn’t so much on the egg side but on the ingredients that you conveniently packaged. Taking the time to chop a handful of onions but not waste a whole onion etc. etc. is what turns a two-minute job into 15 minutes. That is the greatest convenience of your product.
Q
How will you elevate your next Just Crack an Egg?

A
I would like to add spicy polenta to this. It would give it great texture and a kick.
Q
Breakfast doesn’t just give you energy for the day, it provides time to start your day with the ones you love. What’s your favorite breakfast memory?

A
My favorite memory is breakfast in Maui on the Kaanapali shore. I had fresh papaya with lime, eggs over easy, and Pog. Best breakfast ever.

Humpty Dumpty fell in my cup, Humpty Dumpty scrambled it up. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men, added some cheese and microwaved him.
