Today I Stopped Eating Sad Eggs

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Robert from AK and here’s what he had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I prepared two Happy Eggs separately. One was boiled and one was over easy over toast. I prepared it that way so I could taste the flavor of a full-on cooked egg and over easy to see how the yolk separated for other possible future meals. I can honestly say free range flavor is much better than the chickens in my friends’ chicken coop. They seem to just hold together better when cooked. The taste was almost like comparing organic vegetables to non-organic vegetables. The flavor was “eggier” (I’m sure that’s not a word lol) and so much richer than regular eggs. Seems to me that if a chicken is not stressed out it will produce happy or healthy eggs.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
Knowing that makes me like them much more. With so many companies bypassing American standards and laws in the US, there should be more companies like Happy Eggs who want to promote higher standards. I mean, in all technicality, they’re just looking out for me! And anyone looking out for me is good in my book.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
If it were me and I had to choose a yummy summer recipe, I would choose deviled eggs! These tasty little happy eggs would be the perfect little bite of heavenly goodness! I would love to cook these just to show my mom how much better and healthier these eggs are. If it weren’t deviled eggs it would be Eggs Benedict with a nice hollandaise sauce for that special someone in the morning!
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
I have a wide variety of things I like to do with family and friends from taking a walk in the park to hiking the mountains of Alaska! Some of the things I really love to do include gardening, golfing, community work, fishing, four wheeling, shooting, and hunting. All of the activities I like usually involves someone else and that’s why I like them because it’s just alone time for me and the other person. We get to just go wherever we want and hang out together and not be bothered or have a care in the world. Hakuna Matata!
